To all our members,
The following is an update on the Clubhouse re-development works taking place in the club.
Kieocon Construction Works
Kieocon are contracted to complete the roof, electrical works, windows and bar toilets and we will also hope to agree a competitive price with them to complete some demolition/construction works for the new kitchenette area behind the small counter. This kitchenette will have access to both the main bar and function room. We expect that these works will be completed by the end of Sept 2021
Complete refurb of function room toilets
A scope of works has been done for the function room toilets and it is currently being priced, after which a suitable contractor will be appointed. The scope includes the following which we hope to have completed by the end of Nov 2021
- Clean, re-seal and re-grout tiled floors
- Clean and re-paint doors
- Clean and repaint walls
- Replace cubicle doors
- Replace fitted units
- New plasterboard ceiling
- New splashback & mirrors
Bar Fit Out Works Including Coffee Dock
Works on the bar fit-out will start when Kieocon has finished the contracted works.
It is expected that 6 weeks will be needed to complete the bar fit-out which we hope to have completed by mid to end of Nov 2021. The scope of works includes the following
- New coffee dock (at existing small bar counter)
- Replace the existing timber floor
- Clean re-paint walls
- Re-cover booths
- Upgrade lighting
- Upgrade bar counter
- Full or part partition off the pool table
- Replace/repair/clean tiling in-front of bar
Function Room Fit-out Works
Like the bar fit-out we must wait until Kieocon have left to fully scope out and start these works. We see the function room as a great revenue opportunity long term and will appoint an interior designer to help with the fit-out. The main scope of works below are expected to be completed during Q1-2022, however all going well we may have the opportunity to have some sorely missed discos during December 2021
- Clean/repaint walls
- Repair / sand / varnish dance floor
- New carpet to the side of dance floor
- New tables and chairs
- New lighting
- Replace/repair/clean tiling in-front of bar
- Rear lobby – new floor
- New blinds / curtains
Food & Beverage offering
Given the uncertainty in the hospitality market we propose to implement a low-risk externally sourced food offering in the clubhouse and may look at preparing food in-house over time if financially viable. The following is the proposal
- Main Bar: link in with reputable local takeaways for weekends. (Dine in / take outs)
- Coffee Dock: Reputable coffee product, pastries, scones and other suitable items
- Function Room: Room Hire & Beverage Revenue Focused, external Catering for all food events.
